Dr Sarah Brewer answers a number of commonly asked questions
Q: How do I choose the right nappy?
A:
At
different stages of your child's development, you may find
his or her nappy needs change. This may be due to your baby
changing shape, weaning or the onset of potty training. This
may mean switching sizes or brands from time to time will
help you find the right nappy for your baby. To work well
a nappy must fit properly, particularly around the legs, and
it is advisable to try out a few different types and sizes
to find the best one for your baby. As he or she changes shape
and size, so must the nappy. Some manufacturers will send
trial packs or vouchers, which help with the cost of sampling
different brands. Special offers are also worth looking out
for! There is a wide range of nappies available which differ
in price and performance to suit parents differing needs.
